"Mint would be a fantastic way to raise the dead. Certainly would leave a better taste than dirt." His voice held good humor as he watched her. Taking the bag from her, he studied it. "Honestly, not really. You want something a little more breathable, though if you watch it and are careful, you shouldn't accidentally suffocate him." He handed back the bag and grinned as he noticed the saydar was having an easier time breathing. Nodding at the patch idea, he missed the plod coming up behind him until he felt something slimy on his leg bone. Looking down, if Cain had facial muscles, they would be twitching right about now. "If you are willing, that bag you had me look at would make a nice patch. You just really want something so people won't notice he has a dead eye and so he really won't try to use it either."
A head tilted as she spoke of naming them, pointedly ignoring the pload chewing on his bone. He was sure it would be freckled with holes soon enough, but that would fix itself with time. Probably a lot of time though Cain didn't have much of a choice in the matter. Not like he could go to the nearest grave you and pick up a bone form the brigade of the dead that stood at attention there. He would be lucky to find anything remotely similar in size let alone shape short of killing one of the other riders. Cain only killed when he had too and he did not think for one second that he would have to kill any of them. Garland though seemed quite content to try and eat the bone. Despite it being attached and used for something else. Though the next second it was gone and he saw Dorth closing her hand around it so it couldn't escape through her claws. Great. That was the one they were taking home. Just great.
