The reef and its shores were abuzz with excitement and thrill. Today was finally the day! Each and every Nynt who called the reef home were dashing to and fro near a small island. For today four males were returning with their pups!
Three of the colonies present however were in a sour mood. Normally they would be like toddlers on a sugar rush, but the fathers of these pups had opted to let the humans, of all things, see the pups first! What if the pups decided to bond? Then there would be no new blood and no new precious minds added to the colony!
The others however didn’t let the mood of a few spoil the event, this would be no grave affair. No, they were too busy building shell forts or constructing sushi masterpieces to present to the humans. The beach was being combed clean of seaweed and rocks, letting the white sands sparkle. While the reef itself was being cleansed of any drifting debris like wood or the occasional dead thing. The seaweed that was collected was woven into streamers that were hung from tropical tree to tropical tree with the help of some of the local birds.
Bring sea fauna was brought into the tide pools and even a few tropical fish were caught and deposited. Soon the beach was covered in bright colors and small Nynt playing games. No matter how far you walked along the beach there wasn’t a place you could go that wasn’t decked out.
And oh look! A group of seven Nynt had gotten together and formed a band! They had constructed some sort of stringed instrument, found some rather large shells that could be used as drums, and a conch shell with some holes poked into it made some nice whistling sounds. The rest of them were working their way into an upbeat harmony that echoed off the waves.
A few of the older, more knowing Nynt were stringing shells together to offer to the bondeds of the humans. They wanted good faith after all! This was going to be the bash of the Summer and they had to make an impression!
When the sun was at its peak one Nynt was sent off to the coast to make contact with a human or their Dragon to be brought back to the reef. It swam as fast as it could, fueled only on the adrenaline stemming from the events to come “Bring your swimsuits and all your friends! There’s a party on the reef!” It broadcast out to any that could hear it. It hoped who ever found it would take it back to the reef with them. The swim out to the coast had exhausted it completely.
As the messenger Nynt was out in search of the humans two of the four males had arrived! If the cheering was any louder they may have been able to hear it from the mainland! The proud fathers swam side by side to the shore and planted themselves firmly in the warm sands. The past few months had been rough, but they had survived the raising of their litters!
The first fathers pups were busy splashing in the shallows ignoring the friendly greetings from other Nynts. The trio was certain this sand was made up of different things than the sand they were raised from and they just had to know what it was!
The second father had brought two litters with him. He was a lucky Nynt and boy was he glowing with pride. The litter of four and the litter of two were busy hopping on the shore investigating the unknown Nynts or even splashing around in the tide pools learning about all the creatures that had been placed in them.
All the litters knew that humans were coming and that this was to be an even more special day than it already was. Who knew what kind of new knowledge the humans may have for them. They just couldn’t wait to find out!

In a nut shell: Colorful, Inventive, Stubborn
What's that? Something oozy and strange? Different and new are two of this boy's favorite words. Diving head first into everything he does without pause for what consequences may lie in wait. Never fear though! He loves to wiggle himself out of sticky situations with as much ingenuity as possible. There's no convincing him not to so something either! He may agree with you to get himself out of trouble, but don't be fooled. Five minutes later he'll be doing it right behind your back.
He adores adventure. New exciting caves or perhaps something stinking in the marsh! Whatever it is you can be sure he'll be dragging you with him! What fun is an adventure if you have no one to share it with? However, he does need his space and may become grouchy if you invade his bubble without him first inviting you in.
Deep, chocolate brown fur covers this male. His coat may be nice to look at, but it isn't very nice to touch. It seems to have a it of bristle to it that only a mother could love. Small flecks of black can be seen here and there, but are only noticeable in the sunlight. His eyes are a warm honey brown that speak of mischief and love.

In a nut shell: Loud, Talented, Young, Possessive, Energetic
This little lady shines as bright as the sun! Full of boundless energy and creativity she's never short on ideas or a sense of adventure. She will drive you batty with her excessive chatter and need for games. Did I mention she adores games? Word games, puzzle games, number games you name it! You will have to watch this young lady carefully, be extra sure you don't let her get board. She can throw a nasty tantrum if you don't keep up with her need for stimulation.
The world shall be her oyster and you are her pearl. She will love you wholeheartedly and be your best friend. Be warned however, she is very possessive of you and can turn violent if forcefully separated.
Misty is a pale dove grey with a darker slate grey belly. Her eyes are a shining gold and it looks as though sh'e dipped her nose in the same shade as her belly. Her short coat is lusciously soft, even for being a short haired Nynt.

Arlene followed bemusedly the nynt's directions that was leading her to the beach. She didn't even have a loom set up for a change of clothes much less a swimsuit for a beach day. Though a party did sound like fun only reason she was taking this break from setting up was she was so exhausted she slammed a hammer through her hand luckily not hard enough to break bone. She kicked off her shoes and sat in the sand letting it warm her tail end though she really did need that loom or some cloth for lighter clothes soon. All she could bring as her offering to the party was some picked fruit in a woven basket.

Cain walked along the reef, ignoring Dorth’s muttering as his skull kept going under the water. “I don’t have lungs Dorth. Nor do I have eyes so I don’t need goggles to protect my eyes from the salty water.” It is not drowning I’m worried about, she answered in response as she kept a look out for any shark stupid enough to go after her bonded. And they would have to pretty stupid.
It was on one of these lookouts that she spotted the Nynt messenger coming in. Frowning in concern, she sat down and stuck her claw into the water to do a gentle tap on the skeleton’s skull. Cain. We have a visitor and a rare one I might add. Usually Nynts do not swim this far inland. I wonder what could be wrong. Shrugging as the messenger disappeared, she looked back to see Cain was going further out to see. In the direction of that the nynt had come from. Apparently he was going to walk to the beach the creature had come from. Huffing, she was about to take off when she noticed that the Nynt had come across the mage. At least someone knows what is going on.
The skies were clear as she took off, doing her best to spot her bonded through the shifting blue waves. It would be so much better if Cain actually had hair and was a ginger, but alas. He was not either one. Which just made her job that much harder. Giving up, she decided to go back to shore and see if she couldn’t find someone to help her out and wait for Cain on the island. If the bonehead even makes it there.
Cain meanwhile was enjoying the feeling of walking though the ocean. Never had he been more glad that he had no lungs so therefore drowning was not an issue. The only problem was he floated more than he would have liked and had to eventually tie a rock around his lower back to help keep him close to the bottom of the floor. He saw fish and more fish and even an eel. It was like a whole new world down here as he made his way by accident to the island.
Untying his rock, he walked/floated up to the shore line and watched as the nynts played around, looking like they are enjoying themselves. Flagging one done, he hoped he didn’t scare it too bad with his appearance. “Hello. I’m not interrupting anything if I stay here for a few minutes am I?”

Duzell gazed at the beautiful coastal scene below him as Nysath flew hastily towards the open ocean. “So, remind me where we’re going again.” Truth be told, Nysath had not bothered to tell Duzell where they were going in the first place. He had simply gathered his rider and flown off. Duzell was quite used to not knowing exactly what was going on, but this was a bit much even for him. Just as Duzell was about to ask again Nysath answered. We are going to celebrate with the Nynts. “We’re going to what with who?” The Nynts are a highly intelligent species and frankly wonderful to be around. They throw a celebration to herald the arrival of new pups to their colonies. Dorth and her bonded have already arrived. She was offering to ferry people to the shore. However, as I am attending this party as well that will be unnecessary for you.
Duzell was shocked. “Wait, so you are voluntarily going to a place where there will, in fact, be other beings? People who you will have to converse with and will talk to you. Without me having to force you or anything?” Duzell laughed. “I never thought I’d live to see the day.” Nysath huffed. Contrary to your belief I do enjoy company. It just so happens that I prefer intelligent company, which is why we are going in the first place. Some of the Nynt’s are going to be bonding. If we are lucky, and by some grace they deem you worthy, you may finally provide me with some intelligent company. Duzell was about to respond to Nysath’s blatant insult when Nysath suddenly dove. After briefly skimming the soft waves Nysath came to a stop on the powdery sand. Go on, introduce yourself. Nysath insisted as Duzell slid off his back. Do try and make a good impression. You will be bringing at least one of them home. Duzell arched an eyebrow. “Oh I will, will I?” Yes. Nysath nodded. Or you can swim home. Nysath wandered off to converse with a large group of Nynts, having made his intentions perfectly clear to Duzell. Without warning Nysath leapt into the air and flew off. "Where are you going?" Duzell yelled up at him. The Nynt that brought the news of the party to the shore has not yet returned. I am going to make certain he is doing well. Without another word Nysath disappeared from sight.
Duzell turned to take in the celebration for himself. Nynts were everywhere along the reef and shore. The shore was awash with color and sounds. He briefly found himself wishing for a bench so that he could sit and listen to the band play. That thought was soon replaced with dozens of others as he tried to take in all of the wonderful sights along the shore. Everywhere he looked the Nynts had built something wonderful to look at or were playing games and just having a great time. He could see why Nysath had wanted to come so badly. Duzell was thoroughly enjoying himself, despite Nysath being a bit rude. Remembering Nysath, Duzell decide to start up a conversation with the Nynts. As he stood watching a group of Nynts play a game Duzell turned to the Nynt next to him. “Wonderful party! Do you have these every time new pups come?”

Terris was enjoying some peace and quiet for the first time in what felt like a decade. Propped up on the beach by a mount of sand, with a makeshift fishing pole, the waxed gut of a pload for line, and an intricately carved shell for a hook, he half dozed in the warm summer sun. A basket, woven from sea grass sat beside him, inside it a multitude of different summer fruits he had picked several hours before. Occasionally, he would pick one up and pop it into his mouth, relishing the exotic flavours before closing his eyes once more, allowing the sounds of the ocean to wash over him as he kept a loose grip on his fishing pole. He had caught two creatures already, one large, flat creature with a nasty looking stinger for a tail, and a fat, delicious looking fish that he would have loved to have cooked in the coals of the nearby firepit he had constructed, only...well, he had made the mistake of putting the fish in a basket with the stinging creature, which had devoured his prize. He had promptly smacked the other creature over the head with his fishing rod, and thrown it back into the sea, where another large beast had devoured it.
He was having dreams of catching that giant creature when he felt an almighty tug on his line. He leapt to his feet, and began the arduous task of attempting to land whatever it was, weaving back and forward on the sand, giving the creature some slack to run, then drawing it closer, ever close to shore, effectively trying to wear it out....and then.....just as he was about to land the monster, a familiar brown head shot out of the water and the knight groaned. It was not the grandfather of all fish at all, rather his dragon, Akanth, playing a trick on him.
"That wasn't funny you overgrown slug!" the knight grumbled. "If you do that again, I'll cook you for lunch anyhow, you are surely fat enough" he poked the dragon's hide firmly as Akanth huffed his amusement.
It may not have been funny to you, but it was certainly funny to me. the dragon replied. You should have seen the look on your face when you thought you'd hooked that fish, your little eyes lit right up like a hatchling in front of its first carcass. It was a priceless moment. his tail lashed with glee at the prank as he sat near his human, watching the waves roll onto the shore.
You need to get dressed and ready to ride. The Nynts are having a party and we are going. Your fruit basket is coming with us too, and whatever you have caught today....oh, the fish basket is empty... the dragon sounded somewhat disappointed. He was sure Terris had caught one of the delicious shelled creatures, which most other species loved to eat. What happened to the stinging crab? he asked the knight, who was busy fixing his hair into some sort of elaborate french braid.
"The horrible thing ate my fish, so I killed it and threw it into the water" he replied, sullenly. The dragon hummed his exasperation.
You wasted one of the most delicious delicacies in this land, because it killed the fish you were going to eat? Ridiculous! Stop fussing with your hair, and hurry up, we are going to see the Nynts NOW! the dragon huffed, and barey gave the knight time to mount, before taking to the skies and flying the short distance to the party.

Leyora was finally starting to relax and open up to others a little, but Eyrdith, felt that her bonded needed something more to truly unwind and feel comfortable in her new home. Redfist Reef seemed like just the place and it seemed she was not the only one to think so. From her perch, she could see the makings of a wild party and she hand made sure to set her rider and Rasmus down just far enough away that they should be able to hear the noise. Her hopes where that the pair would get curious and investigate, but what happened was even better. Seeing a Nynt swimming in the direction of her rider, Eyrdith nodded approval, stretched her wings and prepared to enjoy a nap in the sun. The flight to the reefs had made her quite drowsy and reminded her that sometime she would have to experiment with going between, preferably under the guidance of those who knew the old myths better she, who not believed in humans until she met and bonded with one face to face.
Meanwhile, Rasmus had collected quite a pile of sun bleached shells and was happily rolling in them and blatantly ignore Leyora's request for him to join her in the water. She would only splash him again and he hated having wet fur. Giving up, Leyora contented herself to relaxing in the shallows, focusing on getting herself to float without actually drifting too far away. She was not a good swimmer, though she knew just enough to keep her from getting her head under water. Gentle waves seemed to wash away her stress and the water itself was just cool enough as to be refreshing.
It wasn't long before a rather flamboyant soul found her. It was a creature like none Leyora had ever heard of, but it was chattering incessantly about following back to some party. Despite her best efforts to try talking it into slowing down, the only snippets she caught onto was that the party seemed to be a sacred ritual of some sort. She did manage to get the creature to wait long enough for her to gather her foodstuffs together and invite Rasmus and Eyrdith, though. The cub absolutely refused on the grounds of getting wet and Eyrdith also declined, unwilling to give up her sunbathing just yet. "Don't worry, I can watch Rasmus from here. You go on and have some fun, for once. We might join you later." With that, Leyora allowed the..."Nynt" to guide her around the big bend in the shoreline and onto the scene of the party.
She was relieved to find a few familiar faces amongst the sea of strange creatures. The nynts seemed adorable, but hard to keep up with so it would be nice to have some back up in conversation, if she needed it. She hoped that she might get used to the hyperactivity, though, because some snippets of conversation she had overheard between some nynts were potentially fascinating and thought invoking. Maybe she could get some of her more bizarre questions answered here. "You are here to have fun not ponder matters that we barely understand. Go, loosen up and mingle. Try some of the games. It is okay to enjoy yourself, you know." Chuckling and shaking her head, Leyora approached a small group of nynts who seemed to be chattering excitedly in some sort of game involved pictures drawn in the sand. They appeared to be in the middle of a round, so rather than interrupt, Leyora sat down near them and watched, curious to see if she could figure out the rules.

After being reassured that he wasn't interrupting anything and had even been expected, Cain took the opportunity to roam around the nyant. The band was nice and while he couldn't taste what food was out, it smelled pretty good. He saw the others appear too and was glad he wasn't the only one who had decided to show up to the nyant birthing party. Spying Terris, he put a bone to his mouth in an effort to keep in the laughter, but failed.
Moving over to the Knight, he elbowed the other's side before moving out of range of a return elbow attack. Not that he had much of a side to elbow to begin with. "So who got ahold of your hair? A brooding saydar?" Yes. He knew that the saydar was far too big to attempt a nest in Terris's hair, but he didn't really know of a tinier bird here and didn't want to use animals he knew of. That wasn't very fun nor inventive. If he had been trying for a french braid, the skeleton thought he could have done a lot better.
Popping his knuckles, he looked around at the party goers. "Want me to fix it?"

Duzell meandered across the beach trying to take in all the wonderful sights and sounds of the fabulous Nynt party. He saw that some of the others had arrived and joined in the celebration. He saw Terris and Cain standing together and walked over to join them. He laughed at Terris’ hair and Cain’s offer to fix it; that was something he had to see. Unfortunately Nysath’s voice in Duzell’s head interrupted his plans. I did not bring you here so you could spend all your time talking with the other riders. If you wish to do that then you could have stayed back at the Nexus. Nysath landed in one of the few unoccupied patches of sand and gently released the very tired Nynt he had been carrying. Now, go and make new friends. You like making new friends do you not?
Duzell sighed and turned away from the knight and the skeleton. He went back to marveling at the Nynt’s amazing creations. He particularly loved the sculptures which had been chiseled from the sand. Just looking at the intricate designs alone was almost enough to give on arthritis. They must have taken hours, if not days, to make. Duzell smiled; he could see why Nysath adored the Nynts as much as he did. This party reminded him of some of the better street fairs he used to attend back home. Okay, maybe there were a few less colorful frocks here but the fun and carefree atmosphere remained the same.
Duzell moved about the party, chatting with Nynts about everything he could think of. They talked about the pups and the party and all the wonderful art, music and games. Duzell felt like his head was going to burst from all the new information. He loved it. The Nynts really did seem to know everything; if not individually then certainly as a group. The best part was that they were so willing to share it. Unlike Nysath, who was always a bit critical, the Nynts never seemed judgmental when Duzell asked questions or needed clarification. By the end of his conversation Duzell was quite excited for the bonding. If all Nynts were like the ones he had been talking to then he wanted to take all of them home. Duzell relayed his new found excitement to Nysath who was pleased with Duzell’s progress. I certainly would not mind bringing all of them home with us. Now you should go back to talking with the Nynts so that I can return to my conversation.
Duzell moved along the beach and soon spotted another one of the riders, Leyora, watching one of the Nynt games. He moved over to join her. The nynts were drawing pictures and talking quickly to each other. Duzell turned to Leyora and smiled. “Hi, nice to see you again. You going to try to play? I would but with my abysmal art skills I would probably hinder more than help whichever team I’m on. It looks quite fun though.”

Akanth had never flown so quickly with Terris astride him before, and the knight, equal parts terrified and exhilerated clung to the hand-crafted saddle like a parasitic insect. He whooped with glee as the dragon soared high into the air, then shrieked as he plunged downward in a dizzying spiral toward the warm, tropical waters. The dragon levelled out just as his claws skimmed the surface of the water, startling a pod of dolphin-like creatures, who chittered angrily at them.
The rest of the trip was uneventful, and it was not long before Terris was deposited on the warm sands of the beach, red-faced from the wind, and breathing heavily from his exertion, the basket of fruit clutched tightly to his chest. "That was amazing" he said to his dragon. The dragon butted him with his nose, an affectionate gesture.
All the females tell me that he commented, and Terris chuckled, slightly shocked, and turned to look at the great beast. If dragons could smirk, Akanth would be.
"Hopeless lizard" terris said and shoved the immovable beast.
The two parted ways then, Akanth moving to talk to one of the other dragons present, leaving Terris where he was, though he was not alone for long. Cain approached him, teasing him playfully about his hair. The knight laughed.
"At least I have hair" he replied. "Ive found wearing it in this style cuts down on the horrible tangles I get when Akanth flies at speed. You would not believe the knots I've encountered after a flight. You are lucky, low maintenence and all. Oh, do you eat? I have fruit..." he held out the basket, offering the skeleton something, feeling just slightly like an idiot, and hoping he had not offended the being he was beginning to consider a friend.
To deal with the tension he felt, he grabbed a couple of fruits out of the basket himself, popped one that looked almost like a cranberry in his mouth and chewed, the flavour was interesting to say the least. He had expected a tart flavour, or possibly sweet, but the strong meaty, savory flavour that filled his mouth was a pleasant, and quite delicious surprise. His eyes grew wide.
"You have got to try one of the little red ones, they taste like a roast dinner!" he said, gleefully popping another into his mouth and relishing the unique flavour.

"I'm told that ladies and gentlemen go more for the bald look these days," Cain countered back as he watched Terris eat one of the berries from his basket. Shaking his head, he leaned back and ran his knuckles along his rib bones, emitting a bone chilling sound. Pardon the pun of course. "I have no stomach to hold the food nor do I have much of a tongue to taste anything so I don't much eat anymore. On the up side, very hard to dismember me of anything. Except maybe my bones. I've had a few people run off with a leg bone or hand. Though they dropped it soon enough when it moved." He gave his skully grin as all the nynts did their own form of horseplay around them. He believed the knots though. He used to ride horseback when he had hair and that was bad enough. The skeleton was fairly sure that a dragon was faster than a horse and he had noticed that Akanth liked to pull aerial stunts in air too.
Which probably helped the knot situation so much. By just making it worse.
Raising an imaginary eyebrow (his bones may have moved a little bit but that could also have just been a trick of the light) at the description of the berry. "Have the prophets come and gone? Are we about ready for the plagues to be upon us and plunge this world into never ending darkness? Cause surely a meaty tasting berry must be the work of the devil himself." Laughing, he reached out to take a berry and study the small round seed. He wasn't being serious about any of what he had just said. Did not mean he was not curious about the small plant. "Might save some of these. We could plant them and you can have them to replace that roast dinner. Doubt there are any pigs or cows like we know here. Which reminds me, have you tried eating any of the local wildlife?"
The Nynts sure knew how to throw a party though as the music drifted through the air and the creatures mingled and talked all around them. The skeleton had to wonder just how many of these things they had per year and how he could invited back again. This was a lot more fun than that picnic Duzell tried to set up. Though to be fair, it hadn't been the males fault that the echee had come and made off with everything, Cain himself included. Putting him back together had been a pain and a half.
"Though I'm being quite serious about putting your hair up in a french braid for you. My fingers may be bone, but that does not mean I still can't style that unruly mane of yours. Just don't let me near a pair of scissors if you want to keep it." Cause he would cut it short enough that Terris would not have to worry about knots for at least a couple of weeks at least.

Together the elder Nynt ran from one person to another each offering up a lei and then staying behind to see if any questions needed answering. One of the more pushy elders ran right up to Cain and licked his femur. "It's bone. Yes, tastes like bone. Looks like bone, but it's moving." Turning around to the other Nynt she shouted out,"It's bone! It is made of bone!" The surrounding Nynt cheered at this new information. Bones could move! That however wasn't enough to quell her curiosity of the man. "How does it move? Can it always move? Does it eat? We have lots of food!" On and on she chattered. She probably would have never let the poor man leave if she hadn't spotted Gust so close by. "Oh you! Yes you pup! Come over here and look at this man! He's a true marvel! Talking, walking bone!" The elder was overjoyed as the young adult quickly waddled over.
"Hello! I'm Gust! Or that's what daddy calls me anyways! He says that today is out name day! I get to join a colony and pick my own name! Do you come from a colony? What's your colony like? Are there Nynts there too?" Unlike the elder, Gust was happy to sit there and wait for a response.
Another of the elders stayed with Arlene to examine what she had brought. "What is it? Can I eat it? Did you make it? We make things too! Come! Come see." A million questions later and the Nynt was dragging her off to where the food was.
Reef was busy gobbling up some sort of melon when the elder came near. "Oh a human! Elder where did you find one? I've noticed them all about! Did you see the band? I love the band!" With that he scampered off to join his siblings at the band.
The other young adult Nynts were just as fiery as the elders in their passion for knowledge. Darting this way and that they joined and left many games as quickly as they had come! They just had to see it all! Everything was new! Everything had to be examined, but where did one start?
Reef, Spice and Abyss were busy dancing along and singing to the music of the band. Oh what wonderful tunes they played! Reef was quite interested in trying to play an instrument himself, but the older Nynt shooed him off with a laugh. This was a time for the young adults to learn as much as possible, not to get stuck in one area and learn a skill. That would come later.
The humanoids attracted Nynts like a gravitational pull. Mist and Shoal paraded right up to the one others had called Duzell. His Dragon was a favorite of the Nynts, for he could hold intelligent conversations very easily that kept some of the more wild Nynts sated and happy. It was unknown if the human however could hold his own or if he was hopeless.
"Excuse me!" Shoal shouted up. "Do you like riddles? I have a riddle for you!" Bouncing around excitedly he had to calm himself before continuing. 'If I drink, I die. If i eat, I am fine. What am I?"
"Oh I know! I know!" Mist shouted happily.
"Hush! Hush! Let the human speak!" Shoal hushed his sister.
"Fine! But when he's done I want to answer one! Human, will you give me a riddle?" She giggled and sent a broad grin at Duzell.
Aqua had broken away from her brothers and had made her way to Terris, whose hair marveled her. "Show me? You're hair looks so nice. How do you get it that way? My fur isn't long enough for that, but show me anyways?" Much more subdued than some of her other siblings she would be quite happy just to sit there and watch Terris do his hair.
Poor Leyora, she probably wouldn't know what hit her as the brothers Foam and Dusk barreled right into her legs. "Sorry miss! Didn't mean to run into you! Oh! You're one of those humans. What are you like? Do you like the beach I love the beech!" Turning around he went to nip his brother who had just pounced on his tail. "Stop that! I'm talking to the pretty human. What was I saying? Oh yes! The beech! I love it, it full of all sorts of fun things! Like tide pools!"
You'd think the party couldn't get anymore lively when the other two fathers arrived with their pups! Cheers broke out as the seven new, young adults made their way onto the beech. Small clumps of colored sand were tossed into the air where they suddenly exploded and rained fine dust down. The dust didn't bother or itch, but it did leave a spectacular display of color while it was in the air.
Seeing that many of the other young adults had already taken to talking to the humans and humanoids they quickly rushed off to be part of the conversations.

Seroth flew as fast as his wings would allow. They were late again and his bonded was not happy. Good thing they hadn't been too far off or they might have missed the whole thing! He made sure to land a short ways away from the party as to not disturb the festivities.
Dismounting easily Amerlan paused to wave back at Seroth before diving right into the party. It seemed that although they were late they had come at a perfect time! The second wave of young adult Nynts had just arrived and colorful sand-dust bombs were being tossed into the air. Leaning down she grabbed a few from a Nynt who offered and ran up to Tempest and Storm. "Can you two tell me how these work?" If only she had known she was about to get the lesson of a life time from those two. By the time they were done she swore she could have repeated an encyclopedia inside out and backwards.

Duzell suddenly found himself quite in his element. He had always adored riddles and word games of any sort really. His years spent working in and living above a book shop had quite prepared him for a good game of riddles. Yes, unlike the picture game the Nynts were playing earlier Duzell was fairly certain he would not blunder this one. If this was what endeared him to the Nynts and what making Nysath happy hinged on then Duzell was not worried at all. He smiled at the pair of Nynt pups and knelt down so that they were at eye level. “I love riddles actually. And I think the answer to yours is fire. Now let’s see if I have one for you. Ok, got one! What is so delicate that even speaking about it causes it to break?” He smiled; it was one of his favorite riddles and just challenging enough to be fun.
While the pups discussed his riddle Duzell turned to look at what the rest of the humans and pups were doing. It appeared that the rest of the riders were being just as swarmed and bombarded with questions. He saw Seroth and Amerlan fly in, late as usual, and get greeted by an exuberant pair of pups. He could not see Cain or Terris from here but he assumed that they were experiencing about the same thing. He chuckled, thinking of how the pups must be reacting to seeing a talking skeleton.
As Duzell watched the jubilant madness unfold around him, he was quite glad that Nysath had decided to bring him here. The beach was a happy, wonderful place to be and the Nynts were just fantastic. He smiled contently and sat down on the sand next to the two pups. “So, you guys figure it out?”
