As anyone who'd ever handled a kitten before would know, pushing one away was just an open invitation to play! Dusk scooted back as she was pushed, then as the restraining hand was removed crouched slightly, 'growling' rather cutely and pounced! She latched onto Raegar's hand, tumbling to the side and clinging with her front paws as she kicked with her back, nipping at his knuckles with all her tiny kitten fury! It was rather adorable. Thus far, with Taki talking with Cain and Tam'kar with Morse, neither of them had noticed the little feline's antics.
Taki had been eyeing the eggs out of the corner of eyes. She thought they were all pretty, but of them all the mottled blue and the sickly spotted caught her eye. The blue was so pretty, like the bottom of a rippling river, and the sickly one tugged at her heart-stringe. The part of her that empathized and comforted wanted to just pick it up and cuddle it close and keep it safe. But she was sure Terris and Akanth would know what they were up to, especially the dragon. Surely there was nothing actually wrong with it.

Anari's eyebrows has raised fractionally when she'd seen the body posture of the group by the fire. It hadn't taken much for the former lieutenant to realize the conflict that nearly broke out, but it seemed to settle itself. Good. She'd hate for the party, as it were, to get marred by a brawl.
As she watched them, her eyes happened to drift past to the line of eggs. The cracked one seemed to call to her. It seemed damaged... like she was. Under the table, her hand stroked over her thigh. Would whatever slumbered within be injured when it emerged? She hoped not, but if it was, she hoped whoever received it would cherish it just the same. Of all the colorful ones, the plainest of them all, a white, was also catching her eyes. Her mother had once said white was the color of possibilities, like a white blank paper to an artist, or puffy clouds in the spring sky. Pushing the thoughts momentarily from her mind, she returned her focus to Duzell.
