Leyora had watched quietly as Amerlan brought the limp form up to the gods and stood in awe as she witnessed the beautiful rebirth that the Sullen Fawn had been given. She wasn't much of a religious person even in her own world, for she often found that most (though not all) were ignorant masses that were willing to believe anything they were told, rather than doing research and learning hard truths. This time, however, Leyora stood in awe of the picture before her, like one she'd never be able to recreate on canvas. This was happening right in front of her with sight, sounds, and unbelievable feelings to give her all the proof she needed. These gods were real. What kind of gods they were, she had yet to decide, but in this moment, to her, they were wonderful. Watching Amerlan bond a second time in one very long, hard day, was also a blessing. The lass had certainly earned it and Leyora was sure that the bond would strengthen until the cub was in full form, before they all knew it!
Eyrdith, ever a voice of reason, burst through her thoughts hotly, though. "Stop him! You are possibly the closest one to Cain, save for the knight. Stop him before he gets disassembled!" Shaking her head, Leyora came out of her thoughts in muzzy-headed confusion. When had most everyone left? "You are very tired, beloved." Rasmus explained simply. "Go." Leyora huffed, absolutely infuriated with herself for standing there like a slack jawed idiot. Turning away, she followed the others hurriedly.
She couldn't believe what she saw when she got there. Was Cain really taking on that weasel all by himself?! "Now do you see?" Eyrdith's tone was almost a hiss of disapproval. It was all Leyora could do not to retch at the stench she was met with as she watched the battle. She focused on Duzell's and Amerlan's words before she trusted herself to speak and actually make any decent kind of sense. Watching Amerlan fall, Leyora ignored any warnings from her bonds as she rushed to stand over the lass protectively.
"For the love of... well something... Cain knock it off! Surely there are better ways to settle this. It was that... thing's home first. Maybe we can reach some sort of understanding, rather than destroying BOTH homes!" She gave a pleading look to her new friend, but if the weasel stepped anywhere near her, he would be met with a hot glare. Turning just such a gaze on the giant creature, she had to fight to hide that she was shaking at the core. She understood well enough that it was likely to slice her to ribbons as to listen, but she had to try something to help out. "Do you hear me? Let's call a truce! Maybe we can find you a new home; a better one." Steel grey eyes flashed in challenge as she tried to keep steady eye contact both with Cain and the weasel. "We might be able to share this one, even, but if you keep at it, all of us, including you, will be out of a home altogether!"
