Seroth did a barrel roll that had Amerlan almost turning green. She may have feathers, but she was not meant for the air. It was bad enough that she could barely hold on! After one particularity shoddy roll Amerlan demanded to be let down. "We need one of those saddles and possibly a helmet." Taking in nice even breaths she hoped to quell her stomach. "No more of that until then. I can't die before I've hit 300." The trees in this area were almost as large as those of her birthplace. Her thoughts of her old life were quickly disrupted when she heard her Dragon actually laughing at her.
Seroth chuckled at his blanched rider and looked for a place to land. "You're a rider, you need to get used to this sort of thing. Besides do you really think I'm that cognitively deficient to drop you? If you die I die. Hardly something I'm actively looking to do. Even the cub has better wing-legs than you and we aren't even bonded together."
Smacking her hand against his hide she pouted, "How am I supposed to know that! I could have sworn you were trying to throw me off!"
Shaking his head Seroth snorted at his bondeds antics. It wasn't long before he spotted a nice clearing with something very eye catching in it. Smack dab in the middle of the clearing was a large brightly colored box, complete with a bow on top. Waves of confusion rolled off of him as the alighted down next to it. "You don't happen to know what that is do you?" He asked his bonded wearily.
"Its a present. People give them as gifts to one another. Who in the hell would put a present all the way out here?!" Amerlan exclaimed.
Not only that the thing was huge! Easily taller than her and equally as wide. On the side of the box she spied a note:
"To who it may concern,
It must be you're lucky day for you have stumbled upon a gracious gift from the Gods! With in you will find a brand new friend! Who know's what we may have left you! No really, we have no clue. We also apologize if it may be dead, we had no clue when you'd be showing up.
Go on and open it already!
Signed,
Don't You Love Us "
To this Amerlan was utterly confused. The Gods had left them a present. "How conventional. Oh and wonderful! The poor thing might be dead! What kinds of Gods are these anyways." Exasperated she flailed her arms. "So I guess I should, um. Open it?" Very cautious she advance on the box for a second time. Pulling on the ribbon it came away easily and with a creak one of the walls on the far side was released and flapped down onto the ground. Making her way around the box she peered inside and was in disbelief. "Seroth you have to come see this!"

The god could not help but chuckle as they saw who had found their little present. The god remembered this one from last time and wondered how much trouble she would get in for bringing yet another dragon home. Well, at least this one was still an egg. Yes, the god had lied she knew exactly what was in the box. She thrived on chaos; you can’t possibly expect her to always be honest now could you? As she faded away back to wherever she had come from you could almost still hear her laughter ringing on the wind.
The egg itself took up almost the entire box. Not only was there a bow on the outside of the box, but the dragon egg seemed to be completely wrapped in various pink and green ribbons. Attached to one of the ribbons was a small hand written note. Proper care instructions for your… the rest was not so much crossed out as it was covered in a hazy mist that refused to move from the important bits of the card. The only other readable piece of text was a small ps. “Hope you know what kind of egg this is, cause we are not telling. Our lips are seaed.”

Seroth stared at the egg. Then stared again, and stared some more. While he was absolutely dumbfounded by their discovery Amerlan was shouting with joy. Though the egg looked like it had been through a battleground where the opponents had been given streamer bombs. "Seroth! Seroth help me get this out of the box. It can't stay tied up like this, what if it wants to hatch? It certainly can't get out if it's being constricted like a boa is around it." Pulling and tugging on the colorful ribbons she tried her best to free the egg, but to no avail.
"Seroth. Come on you big lug help me out!" She cried as she tugged furiously on the ribbon.
Snorting the Dragon bent down and sniffed the egg. Growling he used his tail to sweep Amerlan away from it. "How do you always managed to attract these. You know what this is right?" His tone was sharp, but not unkind as it had been when she had gotten Cinth.
"No? It's some sort of egg obviously." Amerlan struggled to get back to the egg. Something about it was calling to her. Like a governor over her own heart she had to obey.
"Enough struggling." Seroth's growl rumbled loud enough that she could feel it. With his bond settled down he continued. "Yes it's an egg, and fool could see that. More importantly it's a Dragon egg." Seroth flamed at the sky. "You Gods like to torment my kin don't you. Stealing eggs from mothers! This one would have found it's way to my bonded without your help." The Gods had left a bitter taste in his mouth. Ever since Amerlan had found those baubles the Gods had been much more active.
Taking one of his claws he ran it lightly around the egg and freed it from its ribbon bonds. The egg however did not shake or move in any way. "Seems this one isn't ready to meet you yet. Though it already has you in it's clutches. The next few days or weeks will be hard on you. You're being driven to bond with it, but can't. I doubt you'll be able to leave its side at all."
Amerlan just nodded her head as she stared at the egg. The pull to it was monstrous. She could feel the Dragon within calling to her, but it was fast fading. The heat that had been stored within the box was fading fast. "Seroth help! We have to get it to the sands! It's getting too cold!" Not even waiting for his response she swung herself up onto his back.
In sync with his bonded he quickly scooped up the egg and took to the air. Grunting he had to pump his wings feverishly to gain altitude. The egg was heavy! Getting it to the sands would have been so much easier if he could have just gone Between.
Flying fast and low he raced towards the sands. He could feel the egg cooling in his paws and tried to keep it as close to his belly as possible without breaking it.
Thankfully they hadn't been far out and had reached the sands in a few minutes. Alighting down he gently placed the egg in the sands and began to cover it until only the top half stuck out.
In the mean time Amerlan had rushed over and was placing her hands against the egg, praying it would start to warm up. On baited breath they both waited as the seconds turned into minutes. Just as she was about to admit the egg had died she felt it begin to warm. Cheering she enveloped her egg in her arms. Seroth over joyed with his bondeds elation pressed his snout against the egg and her and nuzzled them both. "Everything's going to be okay." He rumbled softly.
