The sun shining brightly down on the town of newcomers and their Bondeds fell with equal warmth and cheer equally, also finding what was likely the smallest (stature-wise) of them all, who at current was sitting by the lake musing over a rather pressing problem. Some might not call it pressing, but to a Myrgwae like Taki, it was rather serious an issue, and came very close to making her rather annoyed. Not at a person, for it would be difficult to do that, but at herself. She was struggling to find her use to the town and its inhabitants. Myrgwae had the dual drives of exploration and assistance. While the vastly differing terrines offered much to her adventurous nature, she had yet to really settle in, or feel settled in at any rate. She knew she couldn’t really step up as much of a defender, unless it came to scaring away some things thanks to her Empathy. And while her Nature’s Affinity had proved useful against jagged Osidae, making them somewhat calmer (though never completely passive or docile) it just didn’t feel like enough to repay those who had welcomed her without concern or fear, become her friends and so enriched her life. Everyone in a society needed a place to fit in and contribute, and the reality was that she felt there was little she could offer. Taki had come to the lake to try and let the rippling water sooth her mind, seeking an answer in its depths while trying to keep enough separate from others so her irritation wouldn’t accidentally bleed onto them (she’d heard of that happening). She was alone, a rarity for certain as Tam’kar was usually stuck to her like glue. But he, Wounded Knight, and Beleth, the most recent addition to their family, were showing the still mostly-white hatchling around town, introducing her to other Bondeds (especially the dragons that they were faintly familiar with, mostly to quiet her repeated requests to the point!) and their humanoid counterparts. And that was alright with Taki. For most of their lives Myrgwae were solitary, traveling between towns, and with the Bond between them all she really wasn’t all that alone anyhow. {What can I offer?} she thought as she picked up a stone and skipped it across the placid lake’s surface. {I’m not strong or combat-trained like Terris and Cain, I’m not clever like Duzell, or skilled with a bow like Amerlan, I can’t cook like Leyora or make plants bloom like Arlene, and I can’t hunt like Mawline and Rezi. I can make them feel better by Drawing out bad emotions and Pushing better ones, but all in all is that really useful here?} She sighed, smirking wryly as she skipped another stone. {All I know is, I –can’t- just have everyone helping to take care of me. That – that’s just not right!} It was tricky to sneak up on a Myrgwae with either malice or mischief in the heart unless one had a will of iron, especially when one was A) practically projecting playfulness with every stalking step and B) Bonded to said Myrgwae. Taki smiled, sincerely this time, and turned at the last second to catch Tam’kar as he pounced at her and laughingly knocked her prone. Taki! he greeted cheerfully. *Haha, I missed you too, Tam’kar.* Taki slightly sat up, stroking his ears as Wounded Knight and Beleth joined them, the Kurbok and dragonling dropping into the soft grass. Taki Mine, Beleth murmured affectionately, Tam’kar and Knight have told me that you play the pipes. Would you play for me? I’ve never heard pipes before. Taki nodded, feeling her heart warm and lift in the company of her Bondeds, and pulled out the panpipes she’d carved some time back. They were simple, unstained, unadorned, and the bindings rough. Compared to some of the instruments one of her bard companions had carried, it was imperfect and crude. But as she put it to her lips she began piping as sweet a sound as ever was heard. {Maybe, for now at least, this will be enough for me.} ((Word count 687/500, Imperfect, Annoyed, Reality; just a little tale, don’t know if it will go anywhere, but it might! ))

The sun felt good on his bones and for once he had escaped Dorth's critical eye. Apparently that dragon had taken a liken to giving people unnecessary baths. She even got all the echee at one point! Thank goodness she was in a nesting mood currently and so everyone was safe. For now. Humming softly to himself, he did not notice he had company in the form of Basaol. She rarely left Cain out of her sight, despite the skeleton still not liking her. That did not stop her from following Cain on his journey around town. TO make sure no wild echee decided to make off with him...Again.
It wasn't long before he was nearing the edge of town and the lake. He wondered briefly if he should turn back around when he heard a lovely sound. It was sweet and light and reminded him of flutes. He didn't think anyone could play an instrument and decided to investigate who was putting on this little concert.
Coming around the building, the lake was in full view and it was breathtaking. The sunlight shimmered just on the water and the music gave the whole scene a surreal quality. Standing and swaying there for a few minutes, he finally broke the trance and looked towards the shore to search for the person playing it.
Taki was a little hard to spot, but the dragon sure wasn't. Moving towards the creature, Taki soon became visible. Giving his skull grin, Cain sat down gently beside her. He hoped he hadn't startled her too much by doing so. Looking out towards the water, he was actually watching her. Perks of not actually seeing out of his eye sockets. Besides, Brains was currently looking out of one to see why they had stopped moving.

Although Taki hadn’t been able to hear Cain’s approach over her own playing, Beleth certain had, and looked over at this new audience. At first she was instantly defensive, not knowing who all were friends with her rider and half stood, wings flaring out slightly as she eyed Cain from across the top of Taki’s head, but as Tam’kar greeted the skeleton with a soft chittering sound the brown female dragonling settled back down, though she kept a watchful eye on him. Despite barely being two weeks old herself, she took her job to protect her small rider very seriously. Wounded Knight, recalling Cain from the desert and also that the skeleton had Bonded to his brother, Lonely Warrior, nodded a polite greeting but otherwise stayed focused on his own Bonded and her music.
As Cain sat one of Taki’s ears twitched in his direction, acknowledging his presence but the Myrgwae didn’t cease her improvised tune. Taki’s empathic power felt the small spike of emotion that accompanied the bony grin. Experience had taught her that every smile, frown, scowl, and smirk had their own emotions that went with them, so no matter how difficult a time others might have reading Cain’s expressions, Taki thought she could tell fairly well. A small ripple of a giggle nearly surfaced as the echee peeked out of his eye; it almost seemed Brains was looking around for him! Seeing-eye echee? Haha, she knew that despite not having physical eyes Cain had no trouble seeing what was around him, but the thought was amusing nonetheless. Casually she slipped into a rolling, bouncy song from back on her world, one about a roving swashbuckler getting into all kinds of scrapes and adventures that she’d been particularly fond of hearing. It had verses to it, but although she’d learned to play decently well Taki had never tried her hand at singing really, except privately to herself. Her tail traced a cheerful pattern in the air in time to the rhythm.
*Pretty day, isn’t it?* she 'spoke' up; the advantage of being telepathic never ceased be useful and she could pipe and chat at the same time. *I never got the chance to say it, but thank you for helping me in the Inn with the Osidae, and for letting me know you weren’t hurting or anything after you got bitten. I was worried, since your arm bond turned to crystal like that.* All of the questions she’d had about the skeleton – what all could and couldn’t affect him, did he still have a sense of touch despite not having skin, could he smell with no nose, how had he become a walking skeleton, and a thousand more – bubbled up in her mind like frothing water, but she was too polite to just out and out ask especially since she didn’t know how well-received such questions might be. For all she knew the telling might be painful. Instead she just continuing to play for them, switching from melody to melody as one ended.

Cain felt no threat from the dragon namely cause he knew he was no threat to Taki. He had come with no harm in mind and besides, the others with her knew that. Brains, having decided the view was okay, tumbled out of Cain's head into his lap. From there, she scampered to Taki's and curled up on a free spot. She was much softer than Cain after all. The only soft part about Cain was her nest in his head. Least according to her opinion and she was not currently in that. Hope Taki did not mind the extra company for a little bit.
"Yes it is." He couldn't help but grin at the change of song. While he did not think of pirates, he did think of adventure and daring feats. "And no worries. It is almost as good as new." He lifted the arm that had gotten bitten, showing the light chisel marks were he had scraped off the crystal. "Figured to let you know I was fine so you would not worry about me and accidentally get bitten by that crimson. I can survive crystal. As you noticed, it didn't get very far. I doubt anyone with a working blood system could." Unless the antidote had been right there and even then...Getting rid of it would not have been pleasant.
Cain thought he could feel her curiosity, but at the same time it could be just the fact he himself was curious about what brought her way out here. Other than the view. "So what brings you out here?" Cain usually had no problems asking questions. If people did not want to answer, they did not have too. On the other side, he loved being asked questions. Usually it meant someone was actually willing to talk to the strange man in an over coat when it was over 100 degrees outside.

Taki glanced at the displayed bone and her eyes widened slightly in surprise. The correlation between the marks and what had to have caused them took only an instant to form, and made her even more glad that such didn’t seem to cause him any pain.
*I don’t know if I would’ve had such bravery to take a chisel to myself, pain tolerance or no! But at least the crystal didn’t keep growing like it had; that would be an annoyance I’d think, having to chip it away every few days.* Her eyes sparkled at him in a joke. *And at least, it’s a pretty color!* She finished the song on a light trill, then set the pipes down on the grass beside her, gently stroking the echee dozing in her lap. She’d seen the little creatures scampering around quite a bit, but had not yet added any to her quickly growing menagerie. A part of her could already imagine how much trouble Tam’kar and an echee could get into! Finally she addressed his question to her.
*To be honest… I wanted to think. I’m – I’m having trouble finding a place to fit in here. Not that anyone’s been unfriendly, or anything. The opposite in fact.* Her tail flipped in slight agitation. *It’s more that I feel like I can’t really do anything to help anyone. I mean, you and Terris are great warriors, and on top of that Terris is opening the tavern I think. Duzell and Leyora are working the inn, and everyone else seems to have found their niche too.* She picked up a blade of grass and played with it between her fingers. *I just want to be a help to everyone, to the town, too, but I’m not big and strong. I’m not really clever or able to cast magic. My Empathy is useful, but I – I want to help more!* She chuckled quietly, knowing how strange all of that probably sounded. *I’ve read, and been told, that my kind – helping others is one of the things that drives us. It’s how I stumbled on the Kurboks in the desert; I felt the need to go there. But here, I sometimes feel like I’m – letting others do all the work for me. I don’t want that. I want to be a part of everything, and provide something to everyone else, if for no other reason than to say thanks for how much everyone’s done for me.*
Through her rush of words, Taki had made sure to keep a good grip on her emotions. She didn’t want to affect Cain with her own agitation. And a small part of her couldn’t help but think that all of it sounded silly, said ‘out loud’ as it were.

"I still have the shards if you would like some." He had to grin at Brains and was just glad Taki was letting her rest there. For him, it wasn't that painful to chip away the minerals. He was used to a lot worse and at least he got to keep the arm. Which was a lot less painful then the tickling sensation he would be feeling for week trying to get a saydar leg bone to work in its place. That was the only bad thing about the magic surrounding his bones: Trying to fit non-human bones to human ones was a painful process.
Hearing why though, Cain gave a little frown. Seeing that it was bothering Taki, Cain reached out and rested a hand on her shoulder. "You will find your niche here. It might just take a little bit. You could always ask Terris if you can play at the Tavern some nights. I'm sure he would love it. And if not...I'll bug him until he accepts." Cain would too. He thought Taki was a lovely piper and he would like to hear more of her music. "As for that Empathy of yours...If I remember right, it came in handy trying to clean out all those spiders. I think without you, we would have had a time with some of those jagged ones. I mean. I can only get bitten so many times before I become a statue. Granted, a very colorful one." He had to laugh a little at his own humor. Even if it wasn't a very funny thought.

A smile found Taki's face at the physical contact; it was something that was always reassuring to her, as well as gave a strengthened burst of Cain's sincerity.
*I'd like to play, if everyone would like to hear it. It just seems like such a little thing to offer. Although I will admit, I was very glad my Affinity worked on the spiders. I wasn't sure. Creatures that are smart, or too magic, well it doesn't always affect them. Like I don't know for certain if it would affect an angry bonded.* Absently she stroked a hand over Brains, admiring the echee's soft fur. Then she giggled at his joke. *A very colorful statue! Though I don't think the osidae would have the foresight to make the colors not clash, and Terris would probably tease you a bit for it.* A bit timidly she touched his arm bone, the crystal one. *Is it more brittle? It looks even more delicate than before. I'd think that getting it broken would hurt even you.*

Brains shifted in her sleep, but otherwise made no acknowledgment that she was being petted. "Sometimes it is the little things that matter the most. It is often what makes the best laid plans go awry after all. Just cause no one thinks of it." He had no comment for the angry bonded theory. She was probably right, yet at the same time, a bonded had a special link into the mind of another so it might work. The thing was, to find out one of her bonded would have to get angry and that just sounded like such a good idea...If you wanted to get yourself killed.
"Oh Death! I would sincerely hope that Terris is color blind if that happens. Or I would never hear the end of it." Straightening his spine a little, he changed the pitch of his voice to match Terris's almost perfectly. "Orange and pink do not go together! And don't get me started on the horrible clashing going with that yellow and brown down there on your legs. Simply a nightmare!" Laughing, he turned a bit somber at that question. Her touch was soft though and almost ticklish.
"It is a bit, but that is cause it hasn't quite healed yet. Give it another month or so and it will be stronger and harder to bite through than before. Well...Provided the spider tries to bite the same place or one of the places where I accidentally struck it. And aye, getting it broken would hurt. Provided I was close enough. Far enough away? It isn't a part of me any more unless I choose to go with the bone and I usually don't." Otherwise the lovely picnic where the echee tore him apart would have been more painful than when Dorth mated to Seroth. "But nope, my bones are about as hard as a rock...Most of them anyway." He was not going to mention the fact that his pelvic bone and a few vertebrate could probably be easily broken at the moment.
"You ever had a broken bone?"

The Myrgwae nearly doubled over at the impression, in fact only Brains being in her lap kept her from it. It was spot on mimicry, though she'd never, ever tell Terris about Cain's ability to do so.
*I'm glad that it isn't fragile or anything. And since you said it would be stronger, I suppose it wasn't all bad that you got bitten... though I'd rather not see it happen again.* Cain's question made her ear flicker in memory. *I broke my arm, once. I admit, I was doing something silly. I was traveling with my first group of friends, and one of them commented that if we could see above the canopy of the forest we were in, we could better get our bearings. We were a bit lost, see. Well, I wanted to help them really badly, and climbed up.* She grinned ruefully. *No one told me getting down was much harder... unless you take the fast route. The priest had to set it, and it hurt a lot. I was a lot more careful about trees after that.* She did't mention how her empathy had gotten out of her control because of her pain, rendering nearly her entire company helpless with her agony and fear. *If... if you don't mind my asking... What do you mean by 'provided you're close enough?'* Surely, a safe enough question to help sate her curiosity, since he'd brought it up.

Maybe he should do impressions more often if it got that kind of response out of people. Then again, it might not be a good idea if word of that got around. Would be heard to pull pranks or scare people or even trick them for their own good if people knew about this particular talent. Better to just keep it under wraps so nothing would go wrong and he could pull it out unexpectedly to make people laugh.
Cain had to agree with her comment there. Just cause it made you stronger, did not mean you should do it. Sometimes it was better to be weak and alive than taking a chance to get stronger that involved a lot of risk. He had seen many a stupid minded person at Death's door cause they had tried to get stronger using the wrong methods.
Tilting his head slightly to the right and moving a finger to tap at his chin, Cain did his version of a wince. It was in sympathy at Taki's story. He did not really see her as a fainter and figured she was probably awake during the resetting, not to mention the moving to get out of the forest and to the priest. "It sounded like it was a good idea. Get to high ground so you can better get ahold of your surroundings. Though maybe you should have made sure that you could have gotten down first. I'm glad that you came out of that okay though." He had seen people break their neck from the hard paded landing the earth often provided and was glad that was not the case here.
"I do not mind you asking questions. Ask away and I'll do my best to answer them." Grinning at her, he paused for a moment trying to figure out the best way to explain the answer. "You know how the further away you get from a sound, the softer it gets? That is sort of how my bones function. They are mine until they reach a certain distance and then, poof! They aren't mine anymore." He moved his hands at the word poof, spraying out his fingers. "Think of it as my version of a person losing an arm or a leg. Except, you would basically have to thrown my bone down a river to get the same effect. Does that make sense?"

Taki’s eyes widened incrementally as she listened to the (mostly) ivory skeleton explain about his ability to separate himself. She couldn’t have imagined that would be his answer.
*I… think so. I’ve only met one person who lost a limb and survived to tell about it. He was a soldier in a king’s army. Well, emphasis on was, until he lost his leg. After that he couldn’t be a soldier anymore. He said that sometimes he thought he could still feel the leg, like it was there. He even forgot once and tried to stand, and fell right over. He was a sweet man, though. Didn’t regret fighting for his nation one bit!* She tipped her head and thought a bit. *Yeah, even though you’re not quite the same as him, I think I get how yours works. It’s… it’s like there’s a thread between you and all your bones, and at so far the thread just breaks!* Grasping the idea made the Myrgwae smile, then she bashfully pulled the brim of her hat down over her eyes. *I – I do have kind of a lot of questions about you. I just didn’t know if you would want to be pestered with my asking. I learned really fast that there’s just some things you don’t ask, and some people that you don’t ask things of.* Since he had offered, she decided to launch into things with her big one. *Um… h-how did you become a skeleton? I mean, did someone… make you one? I was told a little about walking dead by the priest who traveled with us, the one who set my arm. He said that they’re usually rather mean and nasty things, and will attack people, and aren’t very smart, if at all. But you’re none of those things, so I can’t help but think it was different, somehow. He also said that they didn’t have a sense of touch, or any senses really other than seeing. But you just said that you feel pain. So you can still feel things?* Partially answering herself, she tapped her pointer finger against her temple. *Oh, right! You’d have to be able to feel touch at least a little, or you wouldn’t know how tight or hard you’d have to move your hand to pick up the osidae from Terris’ back, or anything else.* She cut herself off, and giggled, realizing her dialogue was dashing around like a newborn colt on its wobbly legs. *I’m rambling aren’t I? I’ve been told I do that sometimes. Sorry.*
While she listened to his answer, Beleth had finally come to the decision that this skeleton was all right. He’d made her Bonded laugh when she needed it most, and nicely diverted her from this gloomy mood she’d been in for the pat couple of days. She laid her head down to get some rest in the warm sunshine, but it wasn’t to be as Tam’kar bounced onto her back and playfully nipped at her ear, starting a game of chase between the not-so-much-playing dragonling and the very-much-playing Spirit Animal that had them bounding back and forth. Honor just snorted softly and looked at Taki and Cain as if to say, ‘Children!’

Cain grinned his skull grin widely. That was it exactly! Or...A simplified version of it, but wasn't going to nit pick. Especially when he could use that explanation the next time someone asked about his bones and why he could feel them break at one point but not at another. At the reason why she was careful with questions, Cain slowly shook his head.
"You don't have to worry about that with me. If I don't want to answer a question, I'll simply will say pass. Curiosity is something that if not sated, can lead people down dangerous paths." Hearing that question, Cain started to scratch his chin in thought. "That is a long story. I'll give you the condense version and if you are still curious about it, just let me know. You are right. Normally, the walking dead are not very smart cause the necromancer who raise them only wants the body, not the soul. Without the soul, you basically just get something with the most basic of instincts." Chuckling a little at her realization, he nodded. "Right. I can feel touch quite well. I'm actually highly sensitive to touch. Smell, Taste, Sound and Sight...Eee. They are about normal if not under average. No need to be sorry for a ramble either. I'm about to do the same."
Chuckling again, Cain cupped his chin in his hand as he took an unnecessary deep breath. "So...How I became a skeleton that can walk around. Really. It is all Death's fault. He forgot to mention time moves differently between the spirit world and the real world before I took the deal. Then again, I probably still would have taken it, but getting a little bit ahead of myself. What happened was I was a Hunter which basically meant I hunted Witches and Werewolves and people like you that came into my world. Though, unlike most of the others, I left them alone unless they were causing havoc and taking lives that were innocent.
It was doing one of these hunts, for a witch, that I got overconfident and made a mistake that resulted in my death. That is when I meet Death himself and he offered my a way back. I could work for him, killing those that lengthened his lists way too soon or I could continue on my path. I still had people to protect you see so I choose to go back. He did warn me I wouldn't be the same and that I would have some abilities that normal humans did not happen. To say that was an understatement would be like saying a dragon can fit into an echee hole. That wasn't a very short story...Was it?" Cain rubbed his head in a bashful way as he waited for a Taki's response.
Basaol meanwhile had noticed the play and letting out a happy twitter, dove down to join in the fun. Getting both the dragon and the spirit animal light taps with her beak to let them know she was on neither side in this little bout of fun.

The Myrgwae couldn’t help but smile seeing her friend’s grin, and her tail gave a happy flick. Hearing that he didn’t mind her questions made her happy too; a lot of people tended to get annoyed with her incessant inquiries.
As he explained the differences between himself and a normal skeleton that was raised, both her ears remained trained on him, showing she was listening intently. She had to wonders if any of the priests on her old home had any idea about this. She’d certainly never heard it before! It would probably blow their minds if they knew! Though she definitely agreed that clearly the soul made the difference. After all, Cain was so personable that she would guess if she was looking away or happened to have her eyes closed, she’d probably not be able to tell he was a bony skeleton! And her eyes widened as she listened to his tale of being a Hunter, and going after some of the nasties that could threaten a world. She’d heard of some of the things, like witches and werewolves, mostly from the bard who’d taught her to play. But ‘people like her?’ She’d have to ask about that! Maybe a Myrgwae world-hopped to his home! Rumor and speculation wondered if that was something they did. And after all she’d done it herself!
*So, in a way…you’re kind of like a paladin or a justicar, where I’m from! They hunt down the really bad evil that can hurt people, like innocents and watchmen. But you said you worked for death? Still, or is that over? I mean, I don’t think there’s a lot here for you to hunt.* She grinned brightly. *And I think it was a perfectly-lengthened story.* A curious thought had wormed its way into Taki’s mind, and she wondered if she dared. It seemed like they were friends, but new friends, and it might be a step beyond the familiarity Cain would allow. But then again, as joking and kind as he’d been, she decided to take a chance on her mischievous streak, and just hope it didn’t ruin the moment. As he finished his story, and she’d responded, she snuck her hand over and gave a single quick flick along one of his ribs, just to see what would happen.
Tam’kar chattered delightedly at this new friend joining in their game, especially when Basaol went after Beleth and gave him a chance to either dart further away, making it even harder to catch him, or aim a sneak attack on the dragon of his own. Beleth, after the first couple of taps made her realize this wasn’t a true attack and she relaxed again, waited until the pair were near each other and beat her wings, trying to send them tumbling across the soft grass like it was slicked with oil. Although her kitsune ‘sibling’ was caught, it was much harder to catch a semi-corporeal phoenix who was flying anyhow. But watching Tam’kar scramble was pleasure enough!

"Hmm. I believe so. Never thought of it like that." He barely knew what she was talking about though. His knowledge was coming from a board game and he doubted it was a very accurate parallel. But when the rest of what she had said register, maybe it was more accurate than he had first thought. As she caught him on his word usage, he mentally smacked himself. Words were powerful things and just cause a witch wasn't around, did not mean they lost that power.
"I still work for him. Sort of. More like it is an agreement I have with him. I don't save anything that is at his door and he does not take anything that should not be taken. Though nine times out of ten, it was the person's time to begin with. But yes. You are right. There is not a lot here for me to hunt. Which can both be a good thing and a bad thing." Good news: he was not going to be replacing bones every other week. Bad news? That just meant that the monsters were running amok in his world. Can't win them all sadly enough.
He jumped though as he felt a flick against his ribs and clattered his teeth in a wince. "Aye. That hurt a little bit. If you were going more for the tickle thing or quick jolt, try rubbing next time. It felt like you tried to stab me with a blunted rock." His voice held no malice and only a little bit of pain but it was mostly teasing as he reached over to lightly flick at her ear.
Basaol meanwhile was torn between laughter at seeing Tam'kar scrambling and sadden that the breeze did not effect her. It should. She had been around as long as the fox spirit animal, but that apparently wasn't enough. Least Cain as feeling nice as she got some of the back wash from his time with Taki. Moving, she added in her own wing gust to try and help Beleth. Not that it probably did much but it was the thought that counts. Right?

For a moment, when she saw his teeth clench and realized she'd hurt her friend, Taki felt her heart drop right into her stomach like a block of ice. Hurting a friend was the WORST thing she could think of! She'd been about to stammer a thousand apologies when he'd spoken, and she felt no anger or annoyance from him, so she let herself relax a little, smiling when he flicked her ear, making it twitch in response.
*I - I was. I'm sorry it hurt.* Sheepishly she rubbed the back of her neck. *Sometimes, my mischief gets the better of me.* She fidgeted a bit, wanting to make it up to him somehow.
Beleth was a little surprised when the Spirit phoenix joined her assault, then grinned a dragon grin and laughed. Too often it was the quicker, clever kitsune who ended up on top of things. Well, not this time! It wasn't long before the gusts of wind sent Tam'kar right off an upraise of the shore and directly into the lake with a yelp and a splash! Hearing the sudden noise diverted Taki's attention for a moment, and when she saw the sight she giggled.
Don't worry, Beleth reassured Basaol and she folded her wings, feeling rather superior at the moment. He can swim quite well. Indeed the fox spirit was paddling his way back onto shore, looking about five pounds lighter with the water matting his fur flat and making his tails look like pieces of white rope. With a sparkle in his eye, he quickly jumped over nearby to the dragon and phoenix and shook off, scattering them with water! Then, prudently, he ran back towards Cain and Taki and hid behind the skeleton, peeking through his ribs and past Taki at his playmates and, if it were possible, grinning.
