((Abnormal bonding request))
Dressed in heavy pants and coat made of velvety soft leather, Leyora had ridden Eyrdith to Gryphon's Peaks to explore. Eyrdith, still in an unusual mood proved that she was indeed building up to that moment when she would soon rise as she soared ever higher, making a loop around a nimbus cloud before flying right through the middle of it and making a dive towards a promising bit of earth on one of the lower ridges of the mountain. She drew back and flared her wings open to make for a much slower and safer landing, though. While she was in heat and nearing her time, she still had sense enough to keep herself and her rider safe. She just wanted to practice a little and give Leyora a first hand experience of what her flight might be like. She was too old, in her opinion for too much fancy flying, she Eyrdith planned to be a little showy, but nothing that should cause her rider alarm, or the other dragons injury.
Leyora, for the most part was relieved as she picked such thoughts up from the bond, but until the flight was over, she would remain slightly tense. Once they landed, Leyora shoved it all far from her mind and instead focused on her reasons for coming to such an out of the way place. Part of her really was hoping she might find a gryphon, since so many other old wife's tales from her world were turning out to be real in this one. She couldn't help but wonder if they were majestic and noble as some stories told, or if they were fierce violent beasts like still other stories claimed.
Gryphons were not her only, nor her primary reason for coming, though. She had hopes of finding rare herbs to use for experimental medicines and spices. There was so much of this world that had gone unexplored by humanoid minds. There was no telling what she might find that a human might find uses for that the native creatures had yet to think of. She did manage to find a few winter herbs from her own world, but so far nothing that seemed unduly out of the ordinary.

She couldn't deny being more than just a little disappointed. She had been hoping to find something new and exotic that she could wow the townsfolk with. there was still some daylight left, though maybe, just maybe she might still find something. she followed a narrow path away from one flat and grassy, snow covered ledge on to another. There was a large cavern with a fair sized opening, leading back inside the mountain. Curious, she stepped in and wandered slowly through the first big room. It felt like the sort of place that primitives might have turned into a home at one time. She explored around the stalactites and stalagmites, in shallow pools with droplets of water falling into them from the ceiling, and eventually turned into a darker tunnel off to the side. It was not too dark to see her hand in front of her face, but it was difficult to see clearly, none the less.
She froze in place and held her breath as she thought she saw movement further into the second room. What kind of trouble has she found, this time?
